Spray Tans provide individuals with an all out healthy glow before a wedding, prom  or any special occasion. They are a healthy alternative to laying in the sun or even worse laying in a UV bed. It’s the exposure to UV rays from the sun or the beds that can increase your risk of developing skin cancer.

The active ingredient in spray tans is dihydroxyacetone commonly know as DHA which is a glycerin derivative.  The DHA reacts and binds with the amino acids in the dead skin cells on the outermost layer  of one’s skin, giving you the illusion of a tan that gradually fades over time. The reaction that takes place is referred to as the Maillard reaction and produces pigments called melanoidins. Once the solution is applied to the skin, the result of a perfect tan will appear anywhere from 4 to 12 hours.

Sun Cocktail has 13 beneficial ingredients that will leave your skin asking for more.  Evening Primrose Oil, White and Green Tea Extract, Algae Extract, Jojoba Seed Oil, Vitamin E and Aloe Leaf Juice are some of those ingredients.

Your skin continually sheds dead skin cells, allowing your tan to last between 7-14 days. If a person wants to maintain their tan they would go back to where they received the service and get another spray tan.
